Introduction

My name is Priya Hariish, and I bring with me a deep appreciation for cultural identity, lifelong learning, and inclusive community engagement. Born and raised in New Delhi, India, and now living in Georgia since 2006, I have experienced firsthand the challenges and opportunities that come with building a life in a new country while staying connected to one’s roots.

With a background in graphic design and professional experience as a substitute teacher and instructional assistant, I’ve had the privilege of working with students and families from diverse backgrounds. These roles have shaped my belief in the power of education, not just as a tool for academic growth, but as a means of connection, empowerment, and social change.

I am passionate about creating spaces where every individual—regardless of language, culture, or background—feels valued, seen, and supported. Through my work, I strive to foster understanding, equity, and meaningful collaboration within and beyond the classroom.
